Did someone say food?

As you probably read in my blog description, apart from getting some really impressive tips on how to survive living alone

I promised you food and cool photography. So here we are in the long awaited post. I am certain of this.

When I first moved to Scotland after living for three years in France, I kind of was a little bit disappointed by the culinary scene. Even going to the grocery store to buy fruits and vegetables it felt different. However, moving to Edinburgh has completely changed my views. Being a big city, it hosts a number of numerous restaurants from every part of the world. French, Italian, Japanese, Indian, Turkish cuisine. You name something you crave and you will probably find it in no time. I mean except Albanian cuisine but maybe I have not explored well enough.

Something that I should have been more upfront about is that I am completely obsessed with brunch. I do not know what it is about it but if you check my Instagram account and go to the highlight section called "Food Cam" you will know what I am talking about.

So in this post I decided to take you in a journey with me on the best brunch places I have tried so far in Edinburgh. I have still a lot of places to go and I will happily update the blog on it.

Montpeliers has to be one of my favorite places in Edinburgh. Just be careful you need to book a table in advance because is usually pretty busy, especially in the weekend. I usually get eggs Benedict and I am very proud of the videos I post online every time I am there.

Exhibit A :

Montpeliers gives you a whole experience, from the moment you enter the door and how welcoming they are, to the serving of food and making sure you are enjoying everything. It is also located in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Edinburgh called the Bruntsfield place. Apart from the amazing food and the lovely experience, after you've had a big brunch you can go and stroll around the neighborhood and check the amazing bookstores nearby and lovely home decor shops.

Another amazing brunch place is Treehouse. They are famous for their pancakes and their big serving portions. It's the ultimate place to go when you're experiencing a bad hangover and you want to eat a delicious greasy meal or for ,you know, just random Tuesdays.

Here is a picture of my friend Mara being very excited to eat the pancakes after a very busy day of studying khem khem shewaspartyingthenightbefore khemkhem.

Last but not least is Honeycomb and co. A very beautiful but also special place just around the corner from Montpeliers. They give you a more intimate setting and you have the feeling that you could stay and chat there with your friends for hours. They have amazing desserts and lovely dishes that are very different from everything you have tried before. Not to mention the high variety of cocktails that can be served with your brunch.

These are my three favorite brunch places in Edinburgh so far. As you can see, I decided to only show you independent businesses and staying far from chain places. I have nothing against them and maybe I will make a separate post in the future if you are interested (please contact me if you have any suggestions) but for now let's support local businesses.

I hope you enjoyed reading this and have found it somewhat helpful! If you have any suggestions for what you want me to write next then contact me on all my social media that are displayed on the home page.
